About the Directorate
The Directorate of Assistance for Risks to Be Alive identifies, classifies and documents risks associated with everyday human experience, and installs emergency response equipment in high-risk spaces.
Its scope includes attachment, loss, relocation, memory, identity and change, including risks arising from digital interactions.
Scope of activities
- Maintaining an expandable Hazard Index.
- Documenting warning signs and field installations.
- Recording emergency equipment and prototypes.
- Collecting observations of everyday experience.
Limits of prevention
Many of the risks that make life vulnerable are also those that make it meaningful. No preventive measure can fully eliminate the possibility of loss, uncertainty or change.
